Hima Parish opened on 27th 8 /1989 under the patronate of Immaculate Heart Of Mary. It has 29,323 baptized Christians.
Its Current Parish Priest is Fr. Peter Kunama Masereka and the Curate is Fr. John Mabunda Bwambale.
Hima Parish has a Perpetual Eucharist Adoration that runs 24 hours in the whole year which is not in any other parish in the Diocese Of Kasese.
Its Guiding Theme is “GET OUT OF DARKNESS AND BE CHILDREN OF LIGHT”
Every last Thursday of the month, the parish holds a healing mass from 9:00am to 4:00p.m and every Saturday of the week, it holds evening prayer sessions from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
Hima Parish is proud to be near the famous Hima Factory where cement is manufactured from in Uganda.
It has 22 outstations, 52 small Christian communities . For easy administration, the parish is divided into zones. Namely
1. Mubuku Zone
2. Karusandara Zone
Hima parish has 7 sub parshes which include Hima, Bugoye, Rugendabara, Mubuku, Kabaka, Kanamba and Karusandara.
Its Churches include Hima, Kinyabwamba, Kendali, Nkoko,Rugendabara, Ibuga Prison, Ibuga camp, Block C, Bigando, Kikoga, Kanamba, Kanyatete, Kabaka, Nyabubale, Karusandara, Kabukero, Mubuku, Bugoye, Ndugutu, Kanyamigisa, mubuku Prison and Bwizibwera.
Hima Parish has not lagged behind in terms of education. It owns 2 nursery schools namely; Nyabubale Nursery school and Kendali Nursery school. It has 8 primary schools which include; Kanamba, Mubuku, Rwakingi, Bugoye, Ndugutu, Rugendabara, Karusandara and St. Joseph Primary schools and one Secondary School called Mubuku Valley school.

The Parish has 31 Catechists, 5 Minor seminarians and 2 major seminarians.
Hima parish is under taking the following projects though on a small scale .

- Cattle rearing
