
The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kasese Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira has officially and warmly welcomed the foot pilgrims pilgrims from the Diocese of Butembo Beni in the Democratic Republic of Congo as they continue their spiritual journey to Namugongo ahead of the 3rd June Uganda Martyrs day.
Receiving them at Mpondwe one stop boarder with joy, love, unity, and deep faith as the pilgrims arrived after their long journey of devotion and sacrifice.
Bishop Francis was joined by a good number of priests of the Diocese of Kasese and the lay faithful gathered in large numbers to witness this remarkable moment, celebrating the strong bond of Christian fellowship between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Bishop Francis Aquirinus Kibira encouraged the pilgrims to remain steadfast in prayer, faith, and hope as they proceed to the shrine for this sacred pilgrimage.
The Congolese pilgrims are led by Rev Fr Christopher Safari who will walk with the pilgrims to Namugongo

After the receiving the pilgrims at the boarder post, christians head to St. Michael Kabuyiri Divine Mercy Shrine for Holy Mass.
